Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. seeks an experienced System Administrator to design and implement Windows- and Linux-based engineering solutions within a government software hosting facility.

The role requires on-site presence at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD, and active security clearances are required. The candidate will deploy and maintain hardware, VMs and containers, perform backups and DR planning, manage accounts and permissions, and ensure DoD-aligned security posture with continuous monitoring.

Qualifications

• At least three years experience in similar responsibilities.
• Experience with RMF compliance including STIG and ACAS scanning.
• Certification in a Windows or Linux operating environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for government software hosting facility.
• Deploy and maintain physical and virtual hardware infrastructure, including VMs and containers.
• Perform routine maintenance and configuration changes on hosts.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot hardware and software on servers and IT equipment.
• Maintain system backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts and permissions.
• Deploy and maintain software applications.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and maintain documentation.
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers.
• Secure information systems per DoD guidance and monitor security events.
