RTX, the world’s leading aerospace and defense company, seeks an early career Structural Engineer to join the Mechanical Analysis and Test department in Tucson. You will perform detailed structural analyses across programs, learning from a team of 200+ engineers and contributing from design trade studies through qualification testing to production support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 2+ years of experience, or an advanced degree in STEM.
• Experience with structural analysis using PATRAN, NASTRAN, ANSYS, ABAQUS or equivalent tools.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance; US citizenship required; clearance must be active and transferable.

Responsabilités

• Perform detailed structural analyses to support all program phases.
• Generate test plans to validate analyses and verify hardware against requirements.
• Analyze test data to validate models and generate mechanical loads and environments.
• Lead technical peer reviews and present results to stakeholders and customers.
• Travel to test sites and government customer sites as needed.
