Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems – Research & Advanced Design (R&AD) is seeking a Principal Program Cost & Control Analyst to provide cost support for program activities. The role is located on site daily in Melbourne, FL, with a focus on cost control systems, budget preparation, and EVM compliance.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with experience in government contracting, strong Excel skills, and the ability to obtain the US government secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with experience in program control, cost planning, business, finance, budgeting or similar fields.
• Experience in Government Contracting with Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
• Ability to obtain and maintain final adjudicated US government secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Set up and monitor cost control systems on contracts with validated cost control.
• Analyze contracts and prepare reports to ensure parameters are within negotiated limits.
• Prepare budgets, funding profiles and variance analysis for contract work.
• Develop program plans to capture requirements and schedules.
• Monitor funding availability and expenditures; prepare projections.
• Forecast monthly material and subcontract costs.
• Incorporate contractual changes into control systems and maintain baselines.
• Perform monthly financial reporting and earned value management activities.
