Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of experience in program control, cost planning, business, finance, budgeting and/or similar industry related fields OR a Master’s Degree.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Financial or accounting experience

Responsibilities

  • Set up cost control system and monitor costs and schedules.
  • Analyze data and prepare reports to keep contracts within parameters.
  • Prepare budgets and schedules and perform funding analyses.
  • Develop program plans to capture requirements and schedule.
  • Track funding availability and expenditure projections.
  • Forecast monthly material and subcontract spending.
  • Incorporate contractual changes into cost/schedule baselines.
  • Provide monthly financial reporting and EACs.
  • Improve financial reporting processes for efficiency.

Northrop Grumman has an opening for a Program Cost & Control Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The selected candidate will provide cost support for program activities within our Aeronautics Sector. This position will be located on site daily in Melbourne, FL.


Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:



  • Setting up cost control system, monitoring and controlling costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system


  • Performing analyses and preparing reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters


  • Preparing budgets and schedules for contract work and performs and/or assisting in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis


  • Preparing program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled


  • Monitoring funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures and preparation of expenditure projections


  • Monthly material and subcontract financial forecasting


  • Incorporating contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines


  • Performing miscellaneous financial analysis including monthly financial reporting/forecasting and monthly EACs


  • Continually assessing and improving financial reporting processes to enhance efficiencies



Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of experience in program control, cost planning, business, finance, budgeting and/or similar industry related fields OR a Master’s Degree


  • Experience with Microsoft Excel


  • Financial or accounting experience


  • Your ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the final adjudicated US government secret clearance and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with SAP S4, Deltek Cobra/MPM


  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM)


  • US Government defense experience


  • Aerospace, Space, or Defense industry experience on a production contract

Primary Level Salary Range: $65,500.00 - $98,300.00


The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.


Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
