Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Digital Engineer/Sr. Principal Digital Engineer to join the SWDT Technologies Organization in Linthicum, MD. The role focuses on FPGA design, verification, and firmware development for cutting-edge defense systems.

The candidate will work in an Agile, collaborative environment to deliver secure, high-performance digital solutions and will engage in on-site testing, toolchains like Vivado/Quartus, and DoD-focused practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of VHDL programming experience.
• Experience with firmware development: specification, design, implementation, integration, debugging and maintenance.
• Experience with schematic and programmable logic tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, verification, simulation and testing of FPGAs.
• Develop test plans and implement rigorous testing and validation processes for digital designs.
• Lead on-site testing of digital designs.
• Manage design constraints and perform static timing analysis to meet performance targets.
• Provide support for Systems Integration and Test operations.
