Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Linthicum, Maryland, is seeking a Principal/Sr. Principal Digital Design Engineer to join the Eastern Engineering team. You will develop digital logic for space applications and validate FPGA designs using Xilinx and Microsemi tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in STEM with 5+ years of related experience, or a Master’s with 3+ years, or a PhD with 0 years.
• Experience designing and using various FPGAs in processor designs (VHDL or similar language a plus).
• Experience defining and executing development test plans and/or methods.
• U.S. citizen required; ability to obtain DoD Top Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop digital logic designs for space applications (satellite command/control, sensor processing).
• Design and modify digital logic using Xilinx and Microsemi FPGA IDEs.
• Simulate and verify FPGA designs and system-level validation.
