Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Middletown, RI, is seeking a Test Engineer who will serve as a System Administrator to support networks, systems, and user environments used for simulator development. The role requires on-site work in Middletown, RI, with travel to Groton, CT, for CIS environments.

Ideal candidates will patch systems, implement STIG controls, and maintain overall system health while collaborating with a small, growth-focused engineering team supporting US Navy simulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-5 years of relevant experience with maintaining & administrating Windows workstation/servers, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance through the Department of Defense.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and administer the Unclassified Information System (UIS) network and user environments for simulator development.
• Implement STIG controls and perform regular system patching to maintain health and security.
• Provide patching and troubleshooting support for CIS environments in Groton, CT, with travel to Newport, RI as needed (~twice per month).
• Collaborate within the Sim/Stim System Team to deliver quality engineering support and maintain reliable access to tools and resources.
