Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking a Test Engineer - Embedded Software in Groton, CT. The role focuses on lab management, test execution, and analysis in a submarine development environment.

The engineer will work with system engineers, government program offices, vendors, and military personnel to resolve complex testing issues and ensure timely project completion. Some tasks may require a second shift.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of work experience in project management, facilities or U.S. Military service.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the Department of Defense.
• Prior deck plate construction experience, EB construction support experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Test Engineer duties including lab management and test support.
• Perform duties as a D448 Lab Manager.
• Support system operational testing, test execution, and evaluation of results.
• Collaborate with system engineers, government program offices, vendors and military personnel for submarines and lab projects.
• Provide status reports and metrics to management and/or the customer as needed.
• Occasional 2nd shift may be required.
