Job summary

I2X Technologies is seeking a Network Software Engineer to support a federal customer at Scott AFB, IL. The role is on-site and requires an active Secret clearance.

You will design, develop, and integrate Python and XML software for the Cisco NSO platform, interfacing with Cisco and Juniper devices in a WAN environment. Qualifications include DoD 8750 IAT II or Security+, Python REST API work, Linux development, and strong networking experience.

Qualifications

• DoD 8750 certification at IAT level II, Security+ CE or equivalent.
• Python development with REST API experience and JSON parsing/validation.
• Experience with Git and Bitbucket for version control.
• Experience developing software on a Linux platform.
• Experience with IP networking routing methods (BGP, ISIS, OSPF, Static).
• Experience with Cisco/Juniper routers (ESR/ASR, JUNOS).
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of Software Engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, document, test and release Python/XML software for NSO platform.
• Integrate software with Cisco and Juniper network devices.
• Support design and sustainment of customer systems in a WAN environment.
• Conduct analytical research and design to meet customer specs.
• Mitigate risks, control costs, and manage large-scale projects.
• Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project objectives.
