Job summary

I2X Technologies is seeking a Network Systems Engineer to support a federal government customer in Odenton, MD. The role is on-site and requires an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

You will manage network integration, security engineering, testing, and implementation configuration support. The position emphasizes developing SOPs, driving continuous improvement, and coordinating with network architects to maintain secure, scalable baselines.

Qualifications

• US citizenship required and Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• BS with 4–8 years of experience or MS with 2–6 years of experience.
• Extensive defense-in-depth knowledge and network/ security architecture.
• Experience deploying Cisco routing, switching, and firewall devices.

Responsibilities

• Network integration, testing, security engineering and implementation support.
• Define and improve STIG baselines, versioning and compliance tracking.
• Test automation and best-practice insertion opportunities.
• Lead development of SOPs/ TTPs and CSI improvements.
• Escalate incidents and support RCA for problem management.
• Perform maintenance on routers, switches, and security devices.
