Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking candidates for contract-to-hire roles at Scott Air Force Base, IL. The positions require strong networking knowledge, including routers, switches, and security devices, with a current Secret clearance and Security+ or equivalent.

Roles span several teams, some focused on UC/VOIP, LAN/WAN, and satellite communications, with 24x7 support requirements. Implementation involves incident management, monitoring, fault resolution, and liaison with DISA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and 1–3+ years of relevant technical discipline; additional years accepted in lieu of a degree.
• DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) prior to start date.
• Active Secret clearance required.
• Shift work in a 24/7 operation.
• Experience with routers, switches, crypto devices, routing, DSN/DRSN, GVS, CISCO, MSPP, and optical switching.

Responsibilities

• Conduct network incident investigation.
• Identify and document network errors and solutions.
• Analyze network and telecommunications alarms and identify potential issues.
• Configure, test, install, troubleshoot, and maintain network devices such as firewalls, cryptographic devices, and routers to optimize performance and security posture.
• Configure, test, install, troubleshoot, and maintain network devices, phone systems, switches, VOIP infra, and related telecommunications trunk circuits.
• Configure, test, install, troubleshoot, and maintain network devices.
