Job summary

(GDIT) seeks a Network Administrator for the USBICES-X program to provide 24/7 incident response, ensuring stability and optimal operation of in-house IT systems. The role supports DoW intelligence information sharing on global threats and requires active clearance.

The position demands 10+ years of experience, CCNA certification, and DoD 8570/IAT II eligibility. Schedule includes shift work at client sites, including holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of related experience.
• Must possess and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
• Must possess a completed CCNA certification.
• Must meet DoD 8570 requirements and be eligible for IAT II access.
• Knowledge of routing & switching protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, Spanning Tree, ISAKMP, ESP, SIP).
• Experience with Cisco IOS software/hardware features.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
• Experience with incident resolution involving hardware vendors.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, analyzes, and resolves network incidents and problems.
• Provides network/equipment training and technical guidance.
• Determines network specifications and compatibility.
• Maintains network to meet Enterprise Service Availability and SLA requirements.
• Implements testing strategies and documents results.
• Supports Tier II problem identification and escalation as needed.
