Job summary

RTX is seeking an Air Defense Ground Equipment Mechanical Design Engineer to join our defense systems team in TEWKSBURY, MA. You will design, develop, and integrate radar and communications shelters, electronic subsystems, launchers, and system interconnects, using CREO, 3D CAD, and related tools.

You will model components and assemblies, maintain engineering documentation, implement design changes, and support release processes within a cross‑functional environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field obtained by start date.
• Engineering project, internship, research, coursework, or hands‑on project experience.
• Experience with 3D CAD/design tools such as SolidWorks, CREO, or Siemens NX.

Responsibilities

• Support mechanical design, development, and integration of Air Defense Ground Equipment systems including radar shelters, launchers, and electronic subsystems.
• Create and maintain 3D models, assemblies, and engineering documentation using CREO and other design tools.
• Assist with engineering change implementation, drawing updates, and release processes.
