Job summary

Forge Forward, Inc. in Charleston, SC is seeking a Knowledge/Configuration Management Specialist to support Navy C4I engineering efforts on-site at the client site.

The role focuses on maintaining controlled technical documentation, configuration records, and knowledge assets throughout the lifecycle. You will coordinate with engineers, cybersecurity staff, and program teams to capture updates, manage version control, and support ECR processes, using Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, CMPro, Visio,

Qualifications

• Seven years of experience supporting technical documentation and configuration/knowledge management in DoD environments.
• Experience supporting Navy shore-based C4I systems preferred.
• Coordinate with engineers, cybersecurity, and program staff to manage docs and diagrams.
• Hands-on use of Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, CMPro, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Visio.

Responsibilities

• Maintain configuration-controlled technical documentation, knowledge assets, and engineering artifacts.
• Support configuration management activities: item identification, baselines, traceability, and releases.
• Use CMPro for ECR workflows, updates, and configuration control processes.
• Coordinate with engineers and program staff to collect, validate, and maintain documentation.
• Build and maintain Confluence knowledge bases, SOP libraries, Agile spaces, and reference pages.
• Organize, publish, archive, and control access to project documentation in SharePoint/Teams.
• Support Jira-based Agile workflows and participate in planning, standups, and reviews.
• Draft, revise, and maintain user guides, SOPs, engineering reports, and contract deliverables.
