Responsibilities

• Take direct responsibility for complex configuration management issues associated with maintaining and controlling hardware inventory.
• Control, audit, and organize official program documentation, product releases, and software/hardware configuration baselines.
• Work with the Configuration Control Board (CCB) to define and implement structured procedures for releasing new products throughout the asset lifecycle.
• Deliver expert change management guidance and strict product configuration management oversight to minimize technical debt and baseline drift.

Key Responsibilities

• Take direct responsibility for complex configuration management issues associated with maintaining and controlling hardware inventory.
• Control, audit, and organize official program documentation, product releases, and software/hardware configuration baselines.
• Work in lockstep with the Configuration Control Board (CCB) to define and implement structured procedures for releasing new products throughout the entire asset lifecycle.
• Deliver expert change management guidance and strict product configuration management oversight to minimize technical debt and baseline drift.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in any field.
• Security Clearance: Active Secret OR clearable (US Citizenship required).
• Core Competencies: Strong procedural discipline, high attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of standard product lifecycle management frameworks.

Experience & Career Tiering

• Associate Tier: Greater than 1 year (>1) of baseline experience tracking hardware inventory or updating configuration records.
• Specialist Tier: Minimum of 4+ years of relevant professional experience specializing directly in engineering, IT, or naval hardware configuration management frameworks.
• Senior/Principal Tier: 10-15+ years of advanced experience. Candidates must demonstrate a track record of leading a Configuration Control Board (CCB), designing enterprise-wide configuration tracking policies, and managing high-consequence defense program assets.
