Job summary

Precise Systems is seeking a Configuration Management Specialist to support our Crane, IN team through development, production, fielding, and sustainment. You will manage configuration identification, change control, status accounting, audits, and technical data for hardware, software, firmware, and program documentation.

This in-person role requires collaboration with government personnel and cross-functional engineering, logistics, test, quality, cybersecurity, and program teams to maintain

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CM or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in configuration management, data management, or defense programs.
• Experience with baselines, audits, and change control processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication; proficient with MS Office and docs.
• Ability to collaborate across engineering, logistics, test, and cybersecurity teams.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain configuration items and baselines.
• Process and track ECPs, deviations, waivers, and change requests through closure.
• Maintain configuration status accounting records and revision histories.
• Evaluate changes for impacts to data, testing, logistics, production, and cost.
• Verify changes are reflected in drawings, manuals, and software records.
• Support audits, board meetings, and action-item tracking.
• Coordinate CM activities across engineering, logistics, and program teams.
