Job summary

Forge Forward Inc. seeks a Knowledge/Configuration Management Specialist to support a DoD client in Charleston, SC.

The role focuses on maintaining controlled technical documents, configuration records, and knowledge assets across the engineering lifecycle, coordinating with engineers, cybersecurity staff, and program managers. Candidates must have 7+ years in DoD environments, experience with Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, CMPro, Visio, and Microsoft 365 apps, and hold SECRET clearance

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in DoD engineering documentation, configuration management, knowledge management, or related activities within C4I or Navy contexts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain configuration-controlled technical documentation, knowledge assets, and engineering artifacts across the lifecycle.
• Support configuration management activities including item identification, baselines, status accounting, and release documentation.
• Use CMPro to manage records, ECR workflows, and document updates.
• Coordinate with engineers, cybersecurity staff, and program personnel to refresh documentation and knowledge assets.
• Build and maintain Confluence knowledge bases, SOP libraries, and Agile documentation spaces.
