Job summary

Cambridge International Systems, Inc. is seeking an ESS Design Engineer to support operations in Charleston, SC. The role requires an active DoD Secret clearance and involves design, testing, and installation of Electronic Security Systems for U.S. government missions.

The position offers up to 70% travel, including CONUS/OCONUS locations, and may require occasional work outdoors and in secure facilities. A DoD Secret clearance is mandatory.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma
• 8 years hands-on experience in security systems installation/design
• Active DoD Secret clearance
• Strong knowledge of electronic security systems and subsystems
• Ability to read ICD drawings and electrical schematics
• Experience with design, testing and installation of ESS

Responsibilities

• Participate in site surveys and data gathering for design and installation
• Design, install, test and implement electronic security systems per customer requirements
• Generate material lists for design efforts
• Perform PITCO activities in engineering facility
• Support solution development using manufacturer literature and guides
• Adhere to government standards and documentation
• Assist with scope, specs, and budget write-ups for proposals
• Conduct field installation activities and overcome on-site challenges
• Maintain safety and regulatory compliance in all tasks
