Job summary

Cambridge International Systems, Inc. is seeking an ESS Design Engineer to support operations in Charleston, SC, with travel to international locations. The role requires a current DoD Secret clearance and is a full-time CONUS position.

You will design, install, test, and implement Electronic Security Systems, ensuring compliance with government standards and customer requirements. Expect fieldwork across diverse environments and collaboration with Systems Engineer leads.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma and 8 years hands-on experience.
• Strong knowledge/certification with electronic security manufacturers such as Lenel, AMAG, DMP, Software House, FLIR, Hirsch, MDI, Bosch, Pelco, Genetec, HID, and Axis.
• Experience with operating systems used for ACS, IDS, and CCTV systems.
• Installation, testing, and troubleshooting of electronic security system components and supporting hardware.
• Must have a current and active DoD Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Participate in site surveys to collect data for design and installation.
• Design and install electronic security system solutions from concept to final product.
• Generate material lists for design efforts.
• Participate in periodic design reviews per contract requirements.
• Perform PITCO activities in the engineering facility.
• Utilize manufacturer literature and government standards during design and installation.
• Assist with scope, specification, and budget write-ups for ESS proposals.
• Perform physical installation in challenging locations, including outdoors.
• Install, repair, and service electronic equipment in field installations.
