Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Ground Systems Computer HW Engineer to join the Compute IPT for a new radar supporting Space Domain Awareness. You will help design, stand up, and sustain high‑performance computer environments that support DSP and mission software.

Qualifications

• Active security clearance required (Secret with Top Secret/SCI potential)
• Experience decomposing requirements down to hardware sub-systems and components
• Ability to read and develop engineering drawings per ASME standards
• Ability to create BOMs, perform trade studies, manage HW baselines and change control
• Familiar with servers, switches, routers, storage, and fiber optic modules
• Experience in Agile environments and with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence)
• Willingness to travel up to 10–25%

Responsibilities

• Collaboratively define and document the computer system design
• Develop Cameo models and engineering BOMs
• Determine system specifications and hardware/software compatibility
• Support design and integration of computer environments
• Identify and resolve program deficiencies
• Work hands-on with engineers to build, integrate, and checkout components
• Collaborate with systems engineering, cybersecurity, SW engineers, and other IPT members
