Northrop Grumman in Clearfield, UT is seeking a Composite Bonder – Level 3 for the B-Shift (Mon–Thu 4pm–2:30am). You\'ll join the Manufacturing Operations Organization within the Aeronautics Systems sector to bond composite structures, reading blueprints, laying out parts, and controlling heat and pressure.

The role requires a high school diploma and 4+ years in composites, ability to lift up to 35 lbs, and eligibility to obtain a U.S. Government Secret clearance.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED plus 4 years of structures/composites experience in aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing or maintenance.
• Ability to perform moderate strenuous physical work and lift up to 35 pounds.
• U.S. Citizenship required for government clearance and ability to obtain a Secret level clearance.

Mansioni

• Read and understand blueprints.
• Lay out articles, cuts parts or materials to size and apply liquid or solid bonding agents.
• Understanding of ply orientations and vacuum bagging processes.
• Operates autoclave, hydraulic presses and ovens to complete bonding cycle.
• Control conditions of heat, pressure, and timing by setting and operating various controls according to the specifications.
• Sand, burs and smooth over areas, apply sealing resins to cut or exposed edges.
• Complete repairs on composite, metal or laminate bonded products using inspection and rework instructions.
• Monitor and verify quality of finished product.
