Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Composite Bonder at the Clearfield, UT site for a level 1/2 role on the B-Shift (Mon-Thurs 4pm-2:30am). Responsibilities include blueprint interpretation, part lay-out, bonding cycles, and quality verification on composite, metal, or laminate products.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED (or related training), physical ability, and eligibility for a U.S. government Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or completion of approved Aircraft Fabrication or Composites course.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Secret clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand blueprints
• Lay out articles, cuts parts or materials to size and apply bonding agents
• Understand ply orientations and vacuum bagging processes
• Operate autoclave, hydraulic presses and ovens to complete bonding cycle
• Control heat, pressure, and timing per specifications
• Sand, burs and smooth edges; apply sealing resins
• Complete repairs on bonded products; inspect quality
• Monitor and verify finished product quality
