Job summary

Naval Systems, Inc. (NSI) in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Journeyman Aerospace Engineer to support the FRCSE Triton Fleet Support Team for MQ-4 unmanned aircraft. You will troubleshoot and repair aircraft control systems, hydraulics, fuel, and pressurization, and review manuals for accuracy.

You will present findings to management, ensure compliance with naval maintenance policies, and conduct investigations into failed components. Travel may be required; on-site work at FRCSE is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Systems Engineering required.
• 3+ years of relevant aerospace experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed solutions for technical, operational, and maintenance problems.
• Assist maintenance in troubleshooting/repair of aircraft control systems, hydraulics, fuel, and pressurization systems.
• Review current maintenance manuals for accuracy and submit red-line changes.
• Present to management or team on technical findings and repair plans.
• Ensure repairs comply with naval aviation maintenance policies.
• Conduct engineering investigations of failed components and determine disposition for obsolete parts.
• Perform FMEA to determine criticality of aircraft system components.
• Review drawings/blueprints, estimate materials and repair times.
• Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, develop, implement, test and evaluate projects.
• Work with limited supervision; travel may be required; on-site at FRCSE.
