Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks an on-site engineer to support MQ-4C Triton sensors and communications at a Main Operating Base. You will act as the liaison for local leadership, DAC, FOBs, and responsible engineers, applying system knowledge to troubleshoot complex issues and ensure mission readiness.

The role requires top secret clearance, SCI access, and CI polygraph eligibility. Training spans six months across multiple U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5+ years of related engineering experience OR Master’s with 3 years OR PhD in STEM.
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance (with BI within past 6 years or CE).
• Ability to obtain SCI access, CI Polygraph, and SAP clearance within time.
• IAT Level II (or higher) certification (e.g., CCNA Security, Security+CE, CCNP, CISSP).
• Experience with Linux, troubleshooting, and engineering documents.

Responsibilities

• Represent on-site engineer for communications, networks, and payload subsystems.
• Review schematics and test artifacts to troubleshoot issues.
• Provide real-time support to flight operations and resolve comms/payload issues.
• Coordinate with internal teams and leadership to ensure maintenance success.
• Travel up to 10% for initial training and ongoing assignments.
