Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Palmdale, CA seeks a Security Specialist to perform day-to-day PERSEC duties and ensure eligibility for access to classified information. You will maintain security records in JADE, SIMS, and other databases, and coordinate with the Melbourne PERSEC team to support PARs and approvals.

The role requires a SECRET clearance, US citizenship, and strong MS Office skills. You should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, lift up to 20 lbs, and adapt to evolving security

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of security experience.
• Active SECRET clearance with ability to obtain SAP eligibility.
• US citizenship is required.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a team and adapt to changing priorities.
• Willing to work extended hours in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to lift/carry up to 20 lbs and climb ladders.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day personnel security (PERSEC) duties for initial and continued eligibility for access to classified information.
• Maintain security records in JADE, SIMS, and other security databases; ensure data integrity and conduct audits.
• Manage E Files for personnel at Palmdale and other locations; ensure inspection readiness.
• Collaborate with the Melbourne PERSEC team to support PARs and monitor submittal/approval times.
• Assist in SAP training and ensure knowledge of IC, DoD, DAF, and NG reporting processes.
• Support other security functions and improve skills for future roles.
• Process Visitor Access Requests (VAR).
• Assist in reporting adverse information to collateral and SAP points of conduct; understand DISS, JADE, and NG Form C-817.
