Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure across Azure, AWS, GCP, and on-premises deployments. The role emphasizes CI/CD, IaC, and security for a DoD mission partner network environment.

The ideal candidate will bridge development and operations, lead automation initiatives, and mentor junior engineers in a hybrid on-site/off-site capacity at DISA HQ, Ft. Meade, MD.

Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance is required.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related professional experience.
• Active DoD 8140 IAT Level II Security+ (or higher) is required.
• Cloud platforms: Azure, AWS or GCP knowledge.
• Terraform as IaC is required; Ansible experience strongly preferred.
• Containerization: Kubernetes, Docker, Helm skills.
• Scripting: Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• CI/CD: pipelines defined with YAML; experience with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI or GitHub Actions.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain immutable infrastructure using Terraform/Ansible or cloud-native tools across multi-cloud environments.
• Build, optimize, and manage end-to-end automated deployment pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI).
• Manage Kubernetes clusters (EKS/AKS/GKE) to ensure high availability of containerized apps.
• Establish unified monitoring and alerting using Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Enforce DevSecOps practices, IAM policies, network security, and CIS/NIST guardrails; mentor junior engineers.
• Collaborate with DoD partners and internal teams to design and maintain secure enclaves.
