Job summary

LMI is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer with strong DevSecOps expertise to design, build, and operate a secure cloud and CI/CD pipeline for a U.S. Army enterprise program at Fort Belvoir.

The role ensures availability, security, and performance of environments relied on by Army teams. An active Secret clearance and onsite presence are required; the ideal candidate will implement automated security gates, manage AWS EKS/EC2 deployments, and collaborate with testing and QA leads to deliver

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in DevOps/DevSecOps or Cloud/Systems Engineering with production exposure.
• Strong AWS experience; deep EKS/Kubernetes and EC2 management.
• Proven GitLab CI/CD pipeline building, security, and maintenance.
• Python or Bash scripting for automation and tooling integrations.
• Security-minded with CI/CD integration of SAST/DAST and scans.
• Ability to work independently, mentor teammates, and collaborate with QA.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize secure CI/CD pipelines in GitLab with automated security gates.
• Standardize deployment templates and workflows to boost velocity.
• Lead deployment of ERP testing tools like Tosca, qTest, NeoLoad, LiveCompare.
• Manage hybrid deployments, ensuring interoperability of EKS and EC2 apps.
• Administer AWS infrastructure focusing on EKS, EC2, S3, and RDS workloads.
• Implement strict cloud security controls and least-privilege access.
• Set up monitoring, logging, and alerts across EKS and EC2 for uptime.
• Troubleshoot environment failures and performance bottlenecks.
