Job summary

Conagra Brands is hiring for a night-shift packaging operator in Troy, OH. The role operates machines in Secondary Packaging, checks packaging materials, and ensures correct bar codes and codes are applied, with a focus on quality and safety.

You will complete daily paperwork, support GMP/USDA guidelines, and participate in team training and process improvements. Overtime and weekend work are required as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Operate machinery in Secondary Packaging with attention to detail.
• Follow GMPs and USDA guidelines at all times.
• Complete required paperwork daily per Quality guidelines.
• Support safety, quality, BOS, 5S and area ownership initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Operate all machines used in Secondary Packaging.
• Verify correct packaging materials and bar code numbers.
• Make machine adjustments and set the correct codes.
• Complete required quality and process documentation.
• Participate in training documentation for team members.
• Perform SAP-related documentation and record-keeping.

Shift: 11:00 PM-7:30 AM

Hourly Rate: $22.29 an hour + $1.00 shift differential

• Safety is your #1 responsibility
• Know all Job Hazards within the SJ Room
• Operation of all machines used in Secondary Packaging
• Understand different types of product and bar code numbers
• Make adjustments to machine and set correct codes
• Verify the usage of the correct packaging materials for product
• Ability to distinguish good and bad product
• Cool work climate and requires repetitive work with your hands
• Ability to complete paperwork
• Support CPS activities to include but not limited to: Safety, Quality, BOS, 5S, Equipment Ownership, Area Ownership, Team participation, CSD, etc.
• Follow all GMP’s and USDA guidelines
• Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed
• Properly complete required paperwork on a daily basis per Quality guidelines
• Participate in the development, implementation and sustaining (CSD) of training documentation for all team members.
• Responsible for any other tasks/duties as directed by your Supervisor/Line Lead/Cell Lead
