Job summary

Conagra Brands in Council Bluffs, IA is seeking a Carton Machine Operator. The role supports operating, monitoring, and maintaining carton equipment, loading materials, and completing paperwork promptly to ensure timely packing of finished goods. The position requires GMP compliance and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Obtain daily schedule and supplies needed for production.
• Complete required paperwork electronically in English in a timely manner.
• Complete centerlines and setup equipment timely and validate accuracy.
• Perform safety check on equipment to ensure proper function.
• Monitor and maintain efficient operation of equipment.
• Fill and load machine with necessary material.
• Verify material is in specification based on product standards.
• Downtime tracking in English.

Job description

Shift: 4:00 PM-3:30 AM

Hourly Rate: $21.75 an hour

TheCartonMachine Operator is responsible but not limited to the following operating, monitoring, and maintaining effective and efficient operation of the carton equipment, facilitating the packing of finished product in a timely manner, completing all required paperwork in a timely manner, and observing all safety regulations and ensuring GMP and quality standards are met.

Job Duties

• Obtain daily schedule and supplies needed for production
• Complete required paperwork electronically in Englishin a timely manner(e.g., centerline, CI inspections, minor stop tracking, etc.)
• Complete centerlines and set-up equipmenttimelyandvalidateaccuracy
• Perform safety check on equipment being used to ensure it is functioning properly
• Monitor andmaintaineffective and efficient operation of equipment
• Ensure proper andvalidateproper supplies are staged in the 5S location (numbers, versions on labels, etc.)
• Fill and load machine with necessary material
• Verify material is in specification based on product standards (codes, specifications, ext.)
• Clear minor jams, reset and start equipment as needed
• Fill and load machine as needed based on production runs
• Ensure good housekeeping (e.g., sweeping, mopping, etc.)
• Participate in PM, drumbeat, and AMD activities as assigned (varying start times)
• Must be able to read a work order and receive verbal instructions from supervisors/leads
• May perform general labor duties as assigned
• May perform other duties as assigned
• Downtime tracking in English

• Ability to understand the effects of product damage and loss
• Ability to solve problems independently
• Ability to work individually as well as with others as a team at all levels
• Knowledge of GMP’s
• Ability to be LOTO and ASM certified
• Ability to work with pork, chicken,beefand shellfish products in addition to many other ingredients and allergens
• Ability to be PIT certified as needed, by area
• Ability tosubmitwork orders as needed, by area
