Job summary

YES Prep in Houston invites applications for a Secondary Dean of Instruction. This 11-month leadership role reports to the Director of Academics and oversees a cohort of teachers, sets expectations for teaching quality, and supports instructional excellence across content areas.

You will observe classrooms, coach teachers, analyze data to boost student achievement, plan professional development, and pursue a one-year credentialing track to become a YES Prep Teacher Evaluator.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• At least 3 years of exemplary teaching
• Valid Texas teaching certificate or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a cohort of teachers
• Set and uphold expectations for excellent teaching across content areas
• Observe and evaluate classrooms to ensure high-quality instruction
• Coach teachers using data to improve instruction and outcomes
• Support planning and delivery of professional development days
