Job summary

YES Prep Public Schools seeks an Instructional Coach to support novice teachers and build capacity across campuses in the Houston area. You will guide beginning teachers toward success with classroom culture, instructional planning, and delivery, using YES Prep strategies and best practices.

This 12-month role requires a Texas teaching certificate, at least 3 years of exemplary secondary teaching, and willingness to travel 75% of the week to campuses; collaborative coaching and leadership are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and Texas teaching certification.
• Minimum 3 years of exemplary secondary teaching experience.
• Ability to work outside normal hours and weekends.
• Valid Texas Teaching Certificate in a secondary certification area.
• Willingness to travel to campuses as needed.

Responsibilities

• Guide beginning teachers toward success through coaching.
• Conduct in-person observations and provide feedback.
• Develop coaching packages for teacher growth.
• Align practices with YES Prep Instructional strategy.
• Travel to campuses daily and support on campus.
