Job summary

YES Prep Public Schools in Houston, TX seeks a Secondary Special Education Manager to coach and develop a team of Special Education teachers, ensuring high‑quality services per each student’s IEP and strong compliance.

This cross‑functional leadership role reports to the Director of Academics, drives data‑driven planning, co‑teaching, and professional development to improve outcomes for students with disabilities and support teachers and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and Texas Special Education certification.
• Minimum 3 years of teaching in Special Education.
• Proven student achievement results in Special Education.
• Ability to work outside normal hours including weekends.
• Strong collaboration and coaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Set annual Special Education objectives aligned with campus priorities.
• Monitor progress toward IEP goals and standards-based measures.
• Lead and coach a team of Special Education teachers.
• Collaborate on co-teaching and differentiated instruction.
• Develop professional learning for campus staff on inclusion and ISPs.
• Ensure compliance with Special Education regulations.
