YES Prep Public Schools in Houston, TX, seeks an Elementary Dean of Instruction (Bilingual Spanish) to lead and develop a cohort of teachers and set high standards for teaching across elementary classrooms. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution.
• A valid Texas teaching certificate or equivalent.
• Bilingual in Spanish.
• At least 3 years of exemplary teaching experience.
• Openness to giving and receiving frequent feedback.
• Ability to maintain emotional control under stress.

Responsibilities

• Managing and developing a cohort of teachers.
• With the Principal and Assistant Principals, setting clear expectations and standards for excellent teaching in all content areas.
• Managing the progress toward increased student achievement for a cohort of teachers using assessment data to improve instruction.
• Observing and evaluating teachers, conducting classroom observations, coaching, and monitoring progress.
• Supporting classroom management and effective instructional practices to ensure student safety and success.
• Planning and delivering professional learning opportunities for campus teachers and staff.
• Participating in credentialing to become a YES Prep teacher Evaluator.
• Contributing to district-led professional development for instructional leaders.
