Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a part-time teacher for LifeWise classes in grades 6-12. You will implement LifeWise curriculum, build relationships with students, and participate in ongoing training and community events.

Responsibilities include maintaining records, preparing substitutes, and communicating with program leadership. A mature Christian faith and local church involvement are required to align with LifeWise beliefs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience in school or church settings.
• Mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training, including LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days of start date.
• Teach LifeWise Classes using LifeWise curriculum and customize lesson plans accordingly.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and class rosters, including health concerns and permissions.
• Prepare lesson plans and materials for substitute teachers.
• Establish an organized and encouraging classroom environment with redemptive discipline.
• Communicate with the program director and school personnel as needed.
• Promote LifeWise religious mission in all duties and interactions.
