Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a part-time LifeWise Secondary Education teacher to deliver Bible-centered lessons to grades 6-12, with a strong emphasis on relationship-building, student engagement, and spiritual growth. The role requires active church participation and a mature Christian faith aligned with our Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities include training, lesson planning, maintaining class records, and collaborating with program leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience (with students) in either a school or church setting
• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training and obtain LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days
• Teach LifeWise Classes using LifeWise curriculum and map lesson plans
• Maintain accurate attendance records and class rosters, health concerns, and permission slips
• Prepare lesson plans and materials for substitutes
• Establish a culture fostering academic growth and spiritual development
• Communicate with school personnel, volunteers, and program director, and share updates, stories and photos
