Job summary

Pathway Capital Management, LP is seeking an Associate to join its secondaries investment team in Irvine, CA. The role involves screening opportunities, leading analyses, coordinating with partners and clients, and preparing memos for investment committees.

The Associate will also help with the closing process and mentoring analysts. The position emphasizes deep knowledge of private equity, rigorous financial modeling, and effective communication.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of private equity, investment banking, valuation, or consulting experience.
• Extensive knowledge of the private equity asset class, including equity and debt capital markets.
• Significant experience in investment underwriting, modeling, and valuation analysis.
• Strong writing, presentation, and research skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in initial pre-screening of new secondaries investment opportunities.
• Lead analyses and due diligence processes for investment opportunities, including detailed financial modeling.
• Coordinate with partners, bankers, consultants, and investment teams to support due diligence and timelines.
• Prepare investment memos and present recommendations to the secondaries investment committee and clients.
• Assist in the closing process, including schedules in agreements and coordinating wire transfers.
• Oversee and mentor investment analysts to ensure quality and timeliness of due diligence.
• Assist marketing and distribution teams with fundraising materials and data updates.
