Job summary

CPP Investments is seeking an Associate in the Secondaries team to evaluate and execute private equity secondary investments in a collaborative, high‑impact environment.

You will build financial models, conduct market research, participate in due diligence, and prepare investment memoranda while coordinating with external stakeholders. A New York base with travel as needed supports role flexibility and exposure to global opportunities.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in secondaries or private equity, investment banking, consulting, or related field.
• CFA designation or progress toward CFA program is a plus.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Willingness to be based in New York and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Support the evaluation and execution of private equity secondary investments.
• Conduct industry, market, and company research for investment analysis.
• Develop and maintain financial models and perform valuation analysis.
• Participate in due diligence activities and meetings with external stakeholders.
• Prepare investment memoranda and analytical reviews.
• Monitor the financial performance of portfolio investments.
• Support multiple transaction teams simultaneously.
