Job summary

Simpson Strong-Tie in Riverside, CA is seeking a 2nd shift Welder to perform set-ups on welding machines, including manual and robot welding, producing parts per drawings and Simpson specifications.

The role requires reading blueprints, maintaining safety, and documenting inspections; the shift runs 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. with a $0.75 shift differential.

Domestic travel up to 5% and a broad rewards package including quarterly bonuses and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Welding program graduate or equivalent; AWS cert a plus.
• Simpson's welding certification will be required upon hire.
• 1–2 years welding experience preferred.
• Must be able to wear PPE for extended periods.
• Read and interpret blueprints and production drawings from work orders.

Responsibilities

• Set up welding machines and perform manual and robot welding.
• Weld parts for customer specials and stock products.
• Document inspections to assure product quality.
• Develop welding projects by analyzing orders, prints and diagrams.
