Job summary

Simpson Strong-Tie is seeking a 2nd shift Welder in Riverside, CA. You will perform set-ups on welding machines, including manual and robotic welding, to produce parts per drawings and company specs. The role emphasizes safety and quality through standard inspections and precise measurement.

You will read blueprints, interpret work orders, and select welding techniques while maintaining PPE protocols. The position offers a 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• Welding program graduate or equivalent experience; AWS cert is a plus
• Simpson’s welding certification will be provided upon hire
• 1-2 years welding experience preferred
• Must wear PPE for extended periods
• Knowledge of materials, production processes, quality control

Responsibilities

• Set‑ups on welding machines (manual and robot) and weld parts per drawings and Simpson specifications (70%)
• Document inspections to assure product quality (15%)
• Develop welding projects; analyze work orders/prints; study metals; determine welding techniques (15%)
