Job summary

Simpson Strong-Tie is seeking a Welder I-IV for the Riverside, CA facility on the second shift. The role involves welding parts per drawings, set-ups on welding machines (manual and robot), and ensuring quality through inspections. The position offers a 2:30 p.m.

to 11:00 p.m. schedule with a $0.75 shift differential and eligibility for comprehensive benefits. Required are a welding program graduate or equivalent experience; AWS certification is a plus, with 1-2 years of welding experience

Qualifications

• Welding program graduate or equivalent experience; AWS certification a plus.
• 1-2 years welding experience preferred.
• Able to read blueprints, production drawings and diagrams with the ability to interpret information from work orders.
• Must wear PPE for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform set-ups on welding machines, manual and robot welding; weld parts per drawings and Simpson specifications (70%).
• Document inspections to assure product quality (15%).
• Develop welding projects, analyze work orders, prints, and completed assembly; calculating requirements; studying metals; determining welding techniques (15%).
