Job summary

Olgoonik is hiring a Warehouse Specialist Lead for the second shift in San Diego, CA. The role oversees receiving, stowage, and issuing of material, with emphasis on MIL-STD 129N compliance and COSIS/Shelf-Life inspections.

Proficiency with DSS and MHE is required, along with leadership duties and daily reporting. Eligible for a $1.00/hour second-shift differential and a $2.50/hour lead differential on top of base pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years college or technical school preferred (may substitute experience for education).
• 5 years general experience.
• 3 years specific experience in material handling, supply, distribution, inspection, quality assurance, or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Supervisor in scheduling work, instructing and aiding a group of employees.
• Performs evaluations and assists the supervisor in maintaining a smooth flow of work and maintains records.
• May be temporarily called upon to act on behalf of a supervisor in cases of emergency or absence.
• Identifies, examines, classifies, accepts, rejects, and disposes of material per DLA regulations.
• Loads material on and off skids, pallets, and stands.
• Receives data from and inputs data to DSS and other automated distribution systems in performance of duties.
• Operates Material Handling Equipment (MHE) as assigned and holds appropriate license.
• Counts, weighs, records data, apply tags and labels.
• Prepares reports as required.
