Job summary

Acumed LLC, part of Marmon Holdings, Inc., is seeking a Turning Machinist for the second shift to set up and operate turning machines (lathes and Swiss lathes) to produce precision parts. You will load and unload parts per SOP and monitor quality and performance.

Under close supervision, you will perform machine setup, inspect finished surfaces, maintain a clean work area, and work with Senior Machinist and Process Engineers to improve cell processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years Acumed experience or 3–5 years external experience.
• Basic math skills and ability to read English documents.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate turning machines to produce precision parts.
• Load and unload parts per standard operating procedures.
• Monitor machine performance and detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.
• Visually inspect surfaces for flaws and smoothness.
• Maintain a clean work area and perform preventative maintenance as required.
• Collaborate with Senior Machinist and Process Engineers to improve cell processes.
