Job summary

Acumed LLC is seeking a Turning Machinist for the second shift (Monday–Thursday, 3:00 PM–1:30 AM) in Hillsboro, Oregon. You will set up and operate turning machines (Lathes, Swiss Lathes) to produce precision parts, monitor performance, and perform preventative maintenance as needed.

You will work under supervision to ensure quality, cost, and delivery, while collaborating with Senior Machinists and Process Engineers to improve cell processes and maintain high standards of workmanship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years related Acumed experience, or 3–5 years external experience.
• Ability to read and understand documentation in English.
• Basic math skills and ability to read measurements.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains Turning machines, including Lathes and Swiss Lathes.
• Sets up and operates machine tools to produce precision parts.
• Monitors machine performance and detects malfunctions.
• Performs quality checks and inspects surfaces for flaws.
• Keeps work area clean and organized.
• Works with Senior Machinist and Process Engineers to improve cell processes.
