Luxium Solutions in Milford, NH is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to perform precision machining on sapphire components, including surface and cylindrical grinding, polishing, and inspection with tight tolerances. You will set up and operate equipment, follow established procedures, and use precision measurement tools to verify work.

This 90-day temp-to-hire role offers a competitive hourly wage of $20.00–$24.00, a second shift schedule, on-site work, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• At least one year of hands-on machining experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• This position is scheduled for second shift.
• Proficient in shop mathematics and unit conversions.
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications and work instructions.
• Familiarity with micrometers and calipers is a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft Office or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Interpret travelers, work orders, blueprints, specifications, drawings and process instructions.
• Operate machines to cut, chamfer, smooth, polish, and size parts per customer specs; follow speeds, feeds, sequences.
• Cut parts on tile saw and perform manual belt sanding.
• Inspect parts, document data, and transport to designated locations.
• Ensure first piece is run with thorough inspection of the part.
• Perform in-process inspections with visual and dimensional checks (parallelism, angles, concentricity, thickness).
• Maintain accurate data and records; manage material movement as required.
• Primarily run lapping machines to polish sapphire; support second shift.
