Job summary

Protolabs is hiring a Machinist for the First Shift (Mon–Fri, 7am–3pm) in Nashua, NH. You will set up CNC milling or CNC lathe machines, prepare CAM files, and drive on-time delivery while meeting tight tolerances.

A strong blueprint reading skill set and familiarity with CAD/CAM tools are essential. We offer a $2,000 sign-on bonus for external applicants, a competitive salary range of $26–$35 per hour, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive, fast-paced manufacturing environment where teamwork

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience setting up CNC milling or CNC lathe machines.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand geometric tolerances.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks, Mastercam and CAD/CAM.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read calipers, protractors, height gauges.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC milling or CNC lathe machines and run jobs meeting tight tolerances.
• Prepare CAM files from CAD files, prints, or verbal instructions.
• Ensure timely, accurate part manufacture and quality checks.
• Maintain organization of jobs and materials in inventory.
• Clean and maintain milling/lathe machines and shop equipment.
• Follow safety and quality standards and escalate issues as needed.
