Hirsh Precision, a leader in US manufacturing, is seeking a CNC Lathe Machinist 1. This entry-level role operates CNC and Swiss lathes under supervision to produce precision components that meet customer specs and quality standards.

The position offers development opportunities, training in blueprint reading and GD&T, and a path to Machinist II based on reliability, quality, and machine proficiency. Night shift includes a 10% premium and a $2,500 sign-on bonus paid after 90 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn machining trade.
• Basic math skills including decimals, fractions, and measurements.
• Ability to read measuring tools accurately.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC and Swiss lathes under supervision.
• Perform basic machine setups, tool changes, and offsets as trained.
• Load raw materials and monitor machines during operation.
• Produce parts according to work instructions, blueprints, and quality standards.
• Record production counts, downtime, and job-related data accurately.
• Maintain machine utilization and support production schedules.
• Inspect first-piece and in-process parts to verify conformance to specifications.
• Identify and report quality issues, tool wear, or process concerns promptly.
• Read and interpret basic blueprints, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Learn machine controls, tooling applications, and machining processes.
