Job summary

Fathom is hiring for a Sander on the 2nd shift in Denver, CO. The role focuses on deburring and finishing welds with hand tools and sanding equipment to prepare parts for painting. The candidate will work to improve safety, quality and efficiency while meeting company and customer goals.

Responsibilities include deburring, grinding welds and prepping parts with orbital sanding. Requires ability to identify weld defects and select appropriate tools and abrasives for optimal quality.

Qualifications

• Debur, grind and blend welds to match contours.
• Knowledge of different tools and abrasives.
• Produce quality parts as efficiently as possible.
• Able to recognize failures in welding process.

Responsibilities

• Deburring edges, breaking edges with die grinder or similar hand tool.
• Grinding welds with hand tools and/or stroke sander.
• Vibrating parts with orbital sander to prep for paint.
