Job summary

Skills Inc., one of Washington State’s largest aerospace suppliers, seeks an experienced Sander for the 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 3:30pm–2am) in Auburn, WA. You will retrieve staged jobs for sandblasting, complete paperwork, and deliver finished work to appropriate areas. Light maintenance of blasting equipment and following work orders are required.

The role requires safety-minded execution, strong attention to detail, and teamwork. A high school diploma is required; ITAR considerations apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow manufacturing instructions as outlined in work orders.
• Knowledge of mechanical processes and techniques.
• Ability to apply safety procedures and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Set up blast cabinets and load abrasive materials.
• Read work orders and schedules to determine blasting requirements.
• Operate and adjust blasting equipment and record data.
• Position workpieces to maximize productivity.
• Inspect finished work for defects and sort accordingly.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
• Maintain a safe, organized work environment following safety procedures.
