Job summary

Baxters North America, Inc. in East Bernstadt, KY, is seeking a Retort Operator 1 (2nd Shift) to oversee the cooking process, ensure proper sterilization, and maintain high-quality production.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading trays, loading recipes on the retort oven, logging batches, monitoring gauges (PSI, temperature, water flow), and coordinating workload. This role requires long periods of standing with exposure to heat, noise, and PPE as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• In addition, 6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accessing menus on an LCD screen to load the appropriate recipe on the retort oven.
• Loading/unloading trays of food into the retort oven.
• Scheduling workload in loading the retort ovens.
• Overseeing the cooking process by watching the gauges (PSI, Fahrenheit, gallons per minute).
• Logging every batch (start/stop times) and recording loading numbers.
• Verifying the log sheet for accuracy throughout the shift.
