Job summary

nVent is seeking a Production Supervisor to coordinate and lead second shift production activities, ensuring targets are met while maintaining safety and quality. You will supervise operators, drive training, conduct performance discussions, and enforce company policies and procedures throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of demonstrated leadership in metal fabrication or manufacturing.
• Strong planning and organization skills.
• Good computer skills.
• Able to read prints and tape measurements to 1/16".
• Able to work second shift after initial training period.
• Able to stand and walk 2/3 of each 8-10 hour shift in a non-air-conditioned environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate production activities on second shift to meet production targets.
• Supervise production employees ensuring training, safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Conduct performance reviews, development discussions, and corrective actions as appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with policies and safety, quality, and timekeeping requirements.
• Ensure necessary materials are available for upcoming jobs.
• Collaborate with personnel to resolve production schedule and cost issues.
• Coordinate with Shipping and Project Management to meet shipping requirements.
